Happy Halloween

"Trick or Treat"

Even though it isn't Halloween yet, we had a great time Trick or Treating at the Zoo. As you can see it was a perfect "Fall" Day! The sun was shining, the leaves were in full color, the kids were happy, the animals were happy, and even Mommy and Daddy had a wonderful time! This is the first year we've gone to this special "Zoo" event, but hopefully it won't be our last! Each animal had a "Trick-or-Treating" station with candy sponsored by local stores, they had little toy trinkets, glow sticks, crafts, carousel rides, coloring, cookies and cider, and much more going on! It was a blast!

Pumpkin Carving 101

Well, there really isn't a trick to pumpkin carving, or if there is I certainly haven't learned it yet. Things never seem to go as planned around here, and today was no exception. (Not sure if it's because we have 5 busy little kids, or what?) Take a look at Kameron's pumpkin for example. HARD as a rock, I tell you! (even at room temperature) We have never seen anything like it. We could not even get our sharpest knife to make the tiniest hole in it. How did we get the pumpkin head face in it,you may ask...? Not so easily... after mommy and daddy both tried with all their might, Daddy finally decided to cut the top open with a hand saw that he had in the garage, just so Kameron could scoop out the insides. Then mommy used a large nail and a hammer to make the holes in it first. Needless to say, Kameron, who was a mess from all the tears and diappointment (that he couldn't have a carved pumpkin), hopped in Daddy's pickup to go pick out a new pumpkin at the pumpkin patch. The thought of spending time alone with Daddy, and the fact that now he gets to have two pumpkins this year was all it took to put a smile back on his face. Nope... never a dull moment around here! In fact, they should be back anytime now with "The Great Pumpkin".

First Dental Appt

Here is Jaxon at his first trip to the dentist. He wasn't too cooperative at first, but soon realized that going to the dentist wasn't so bad after all. In fact, after two stickers later and a new toothbrush he was all smiles...showing off his pearly whites!

Christmas Already???

Well, I guess it's never too early to start thinking about Christmas, right? Today for Sunday School, the Tiny Tots preschool classes (including Kameron, Jayden, and Jaxon) visited a farm near Arthur, ND with costumes and all, in an effort to re-inact "The Christmas Story" as told in the Bible. These pictures will be used as a slide show during church in Dec as a part of the Elementary Church School Program. This is just a sneak peak, but imagine these pictures put to words, and music...
