2008 was a year filled with good health, happiness, and many blessings for our family which we are extremely grateful! Our wish for ALL our family and friends is that 2009 is another great year filled with love, fun times, adventure, health, and happiness!
The following pictures were taken during a recent trip to the fitness center where Daddy and Mommy worked out, along with their five Phy Ed students! You would think it's a workout enough taking care of 5 little kids (which it is), but get them in the gym and it's even more exhausting! We didn't have any dumb bells fall on anyone... (no broken toes, but Kameron did go head first over an exercise ball onto the cement) He didn't even cry, but had a pretty good goose egg to show from his "work out". All in all, the kids did great, we ALL had fun, and it felt good to work on becoming healthier together as a family! Several times that evening, the kids said "Thank You for taking us to the gym with you!", and "This was the best day ever!". That just goes to show that time spent together means more than $$$ spent on toys/games/etc. One of mommy's resolutions for the upcoming year is to be more patient, spend more time PLAYING with us, and trying NOT to say, "Just a Minute" as often as she does now, along with the obvious resolutions to save more $$, lose weight, eat healthier, etc.

Daddy started off the New Year by running in an (outdoor) 5K in Fargo on New Years Day, and he hopes to run in the Fargo Marathon in May of 2009!

Jayden's resolution is to go to bed when the babysitter tells her to, so that Mommy and Daddy don't come home to a bright eyed and bushy tailed girl, or have to come home early to "tuck" her into bed since she won't let the babysitter do it!

Kierra's resolution is to have fewer than 3 time outs a day at daycare. She's usually a pretty good little girl, but tends to be a little sneaky, curious, and a little bossy at times! She also has about three months left of being two, so why not make it three months of "Terrible Twos"?

Adrian is going to try hard to talk in a #2 voice (Thanks Julienne) when indoors, instead of shouting when he speaks. This is something we've been working on since pre-school, but I believe 2009 just might be the year!

Kameron's resolution is to stay in his own bed all night long. After all, he IS the second oldest child in our house, AND Mommy and Daddy only have a queen size bed!

Finally, in 2009, Jaxon is going to learn how to be a better helper when it is CLEAN UP time, and become more independent with dressing himself, etc. I'm not sure if it's laziness, or just a lack of motivation. He seems to think, "If the other 4 are willing to do it for me, I'm just fine with that!"

Happy New Year 2009!
