Gearing Up for Kindergarten

Tonite was Kameron's last night of his Gearing Up for Kindergarten class at the West Fargo ECC. Gearing Up is a 16 week parent/child curriculum devevloped by The United Way and NDSU extension office designed to help parents of 4-5 year old students the year prior to entering kindergarten. Each session includes parent-child play time with center directed activities to promote all areas of development, large group/story/music time with parents, then parents leave the room for a short parent education session while their child has more play time, snack/milk break, recess, and finally library check out time! Kameron completed the final session tonite with his friends and siblings present for a pizza party followed by ice cream sundaes. Although we are sad to see this great opportunity come to an end, his excitement can now shift to the next chapter.... you guessed it..... KINDERGARTEN! Thanks to Melissa, Trista, and Stephanie for being such GREAT teachers to work with, but most importantly for making learning so much FUN!

Papa's Shoes

Gardening Time Already?

Well, anyone who knows our Papa Curt will know that it's NEVER to early to start seeds to plant in the garden. We want to give it a try for ourselves to see if we have green thumbs too.

Around Easter time, Great Aunt Lee sent us $$$ to buy Easter Egg seed kits from Lowes but mommy was little too late in getting there, so instead she found us these seed kids at Target. She bought 5 different seed kits, and let us fight over them once she got them home to see what seeds we would each grow! Thanks Aunt Lee! We'll let you know how this experiment goes... Mommy says that with 5 helpers all wanting to water the plants several times a day, if they don't happen to survive, it certainly won't be due to neglect! Papa's shoes sure aren't easy to fill! Now we know how it's possible that he can spend hours nurturing and watching each seedling grow until they become adult plants! Patience is a hard lesson to teach, just ask mommy!

A New Look

Last night after bathtime we were looking at pictures when Kierra Jo asked me to make her have "Dora Hair" again. Against my better judgement I said, "Sure, Why Not?" After all, how hard is it to straighten ALL THOSE CURLS? Well, the first half wasn't quite so bad, but IF it wouldn't look so silly to have half a head of curly hair and the other half straight, I maybe would have just quit halfway through, but Kierra kept saying in her sweet three year old voice, "Good Job Mommy!.... almost done?" I hope she enjoys her Dora Hair this time, because it might be a long time before mommy is that ambitious again!

One Lucky Boy

This afternoon appeared to be an ordinary day at the circus until intermission when we hear, "Adrian Parker, you've won a new bike!"

Every year when we attend the Shrine Circus we watch the Shriners give away about 8-10 bikes. Well this year was no different, however, this time it was "Mommy" who got to carry one out of the Fargo Dome following the show!

We must give Uncle Heith all the credit though. He is the one who brought Mommy the door prize slips once we were already in our seats, he's the one who dropped the slips in the box, and he's also the one who helped Adrian claim his bike, and load it in our van following the show!
Thanks so much Uncle Heith!

Adrian and his new bike that he picked out ALL by himself!
Jayden was the only Parker child brave enough to take a picture with the Circus clowns prior to the show!
Waiting oh so patiently!
Jaxon enjoying his new light up laser gun!
Kierra "reading" to pass some time!
Kameron just loved watching the ponies!
Intermission

What a great day at the circus!

Future Sailors

Daddy would be so proud to see us playing "Sailors". Thank you Easter Bunny for bringing us baskets that turn in to hats this year! We love them!

Happy Easter

Happy Easter from The Parkers

Oh Beautiful Day!

As you can see by some of the pictures, YES we will still have some snow left for Easter this year! Although we have had awful weather this winter, today was a beautiful day! Not only were the temperatures mild, but it was our first full day spent with Daddy in over 5 weeks! As you can see, there was not a dull moment and permanent smiles ALL around!
